1. Who we are

hackonvibe.com is operated by Fiber LLC (Texas, United States of America), the organizer of HackOnVibe and the controller of your data. For any question about your data — access, correction, deletion or withdrawal of consent — write to Fiber LLC. The contact address for these requests is —: the mailbox is being set up and the address will be published here as soon as it answers. Until then, use your account, where you can download your data and request deletion yourself. The organiser of an individual hackathon is not the controller and cannot decide these questions.

2. What we collect

Creating an account takes your email address and a password — nothing else. Everything below is collected later, as your participation needs it: full name, country of residence, country of citizenship, year of birth, and any optional answers you choose to give.

Everything you tell us about yourself is taken at your word. Your name, your country of residence and your country of citizenship are recorded exactly as you enter them. The Platform does not verify this data — we rely on what you tell us. We do not check it against documents, registries or any third party, and we do not screen you against any list. If a prize or a partner ever requires proof, that check happens separately and we will tell you before it does.

Why we ask for your country of residence and your country of citizenship. These answers change what we are allowed to do, so we need them before we can act. Prizes: the right to receive money won in a competition is not permitted in every country, and our payment partners apply country rules of their own — we have to know which rules reach you before a prize is paid. Eligibility: a hackathon may limit who can enter by country of residence or citizenship, and where it does, entry is decided against the answers you gave. Statistics: a public map shows how many people took part from each country and whether a hackathon was international. Your countries are never shown next to your name, and we do not sell them. We use the year of birth only to check age eligibility; it is not published. HackOnVibe registration is available from age 13. If you become an awardee and complete the winners' form, we additionally collect the photo and the contact links you choose to provide.

3. Why we use it

To run the hackathon, contact you about it, and publish its results — including a personal certificate page that lets your achievement be verified.

4. Publication & your consent

Participants under 18 should review the event rules with a parent or guardian. We do not accept registrations from children under 13 through this form and do not operate a parental-consent flow for children under 13.

Creating an account does not publish anything about you and is not, by itself, consent to publication. We publish your full name on a personal certificate page on hackonvibe.com only after you give that consent explicitly; until then you do not appear on public result pages. If you become an awardee and complete the winners' form, you additionally consent to us publishing your photo and the contact links you provide (for example, on the hackathon results page).

These pages are public. They may be viewed, indexed by search engines, and downloaded from anywhere in the world — including countries whose data-protection laws differ from your own.

5. Lawful basis & record

We rely on your consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)) for publication. We keep a record of the consent you give (the wording version and the time you agreed).

6. How long we keep it

We keep your data for as long as needed to run and document the hackathon and to keep issued certificates verifiable.

7. Your rights

Access — you do it yourself, no request needed. Sign in and open your account: Download my data gives you a file with everything we store about you — profile, universal account identity, application forms, teams, certificates and archived certificates, external profiles and external hackathon history, imported CV, your public staff profile and staff account, your staff role, decisions on it and hidden-work access grants, participant admission decisions, your presentations, hackathon reviews and hackathon complaints, deletion requests and decisions, the bug reports you sent, and your visits. Passwords and one-time links are never in it.

To correct or delete your data, or to withdraw your consent, use your account or contact us. Deleting your account removes your combined personal page — the single place that gathers your data and your results across every hackathon. Your records inside each hackathon stay where they are. Deletion is final: your email address is erased with the account, so if you register again later we cannot recognise you and your past hackathons do not come back to the new profile. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing already carried out before the withdrawal.

Deleting your account is not the same as being removed from the history of a hackathon. A hackathon record affects the rights and obligations of other people in that hackathon — teammates, judges, organisers and prize winners. For that reason it cannot be removed at your request; it can be removed only by a court order.

8. Prizes and Payouts

All hackathon prizes are provided and distributed directly by the hackathon Organizer. HackOnVibe acts solely as a platform for hosting the event and calculating results. We do not hold, manage, or distribute prize funds.
